I'm not going to say we were unlucky, I'm not going to say we deserved to lose either.

Milan looked more mature and they were so confident with the ball as if they had known they were going to win it. Although we had the better chances.

Our tactics were totally wrong for a start, why do we play a lone striker at Old Trafford? Is it about us showing respect to opposition teams? Should we not be tearing into them from the first minute? why start with three forwards on the bench? Both teams formations mirrored each other's and the unfourtunate thing is, they were better at it than us. Who would have guessed that.

I'm not a man to moan about individuals, but in some cases tonight, it has to be done. Giggs? Anyone know where he was, I saw a 35 year old Brazilian making a mug of him for most of the game. Carroll, as much as I like him he has to go...was he cold and caught unaware by the shot? simply, not good enough. Lately he was demanding improved contract and he claimed he deserved to be regular first team player. Now he musn't be given another chance. You can't win things nowadays when you have average goalie on whom you can't rely.

It was quite simple really. We needed the 5 in midfield to help us keep possesion and dictate the game - but that never happened. Milan were impressive in possesion, playin little triangles and they also kept the ball very well in our half. We struggled to do that - Milan kept a tight leash on Scholes and Keane and never let them settle on the ball for a second. Whereas in comparison, Pirlo dictated the game along with Seedorf.

And as others have said, we missed 2 glorious chances, but still nonetheless we werent allowed to play our capabilities. We can still win in the San Siro, but were going to need to raise our game alot. An early goal could work wonders....

In such a game you just have to score from situations we had, just don't expect to have more and better chances. I don't blame neither Fortune nor Scholes, they both had a really good game tonight, but only then Milan seemed clumsy, those were the only chances to hit them.

I can't blame SAF. I have no idea what would have happened if Ruud played from the beginning, but definitely Wayne was all alone at the front fighting with 2-3 AC's players all the time. It was not in the script, I reckon.Wes Brown for the 1st time convinced me he's better than Silvestre.

Quinton Fortune was probably our best player tonight an who knows whether he'll be dropped once Fletcher is fit.Regarding Milan, full credit to them. They dominated the 2nd line, they had an idea how to cut off our wingers and they scored a winning goal out of the blue.

I personally do believe in miracles and I have hope that some miracle will happen at San Siro. It's gonna be extremely tough considering tonight's performance of both teams, but 'never say die'.Please, don't write MU off while the game is still on.

Last nite we lost the battle..not the war.

See u again Milan ...9 March 2005.
